Thanks to all who bid in the last auction, and I'm hoping you are contented with your winnings. I'm sure you will be extremely happy with the selection of wonderful radio shows we have to offer this go around.

Attention: There are many changes in the information below, so please read through it and make sure you know all the changes before bidding.

The two big newsflashes this auction is that we are eliminating the minimum bids. This will level the playing field for all bidders. Please remember only to bid as much as you can afford, and are willing to pay. And due to your response to the last auction we will revert our policy of how to bid to the tried and true method you all prefer. Please read the bidding explanation below to reaquaint yourselves with the rules. And thank you for being so patient in this changeover of policies.

Welcome to our latest auction! On this page, you will find a large selection of radio transcription discs being offered. Unless noted, all discs are 16" in diameter and only playable on equipment capable of accommodating discs of this size. All discs are in very good playable condition or better; any specific defects are noted in the individual listings.

To help you make better decisions on bidding, I will be using the following grading chart, with all grading done visually:

New = New minus - almost no surface wear and no other problems except maybe minor scuffs

EXC = Excellent - light surface wear and minimal small scratches, perhaps a few more scuffs

VG = Very Good - scratches, more scuffing, and needle wear, but still acceptable.

G = Good - worn with a few needle digs, playable, needle wear very heavy, much more scuffing.

Plus or minus after the grade is just telling you that the recording is either in better or poorer condition. All other grading notation will be listed after the grade. Example: (lt. scratches)

If you are interested in owning any disc being offered in this auction, we strongly encourage you to bid on it. Unsold discs will not be available for post-auction sale at their minimum bid prices.

We're sorry, but aside from the information contained in these listings, we are unable to provide any specific content information for any of the discs being offered.

The auctions listed below begin on August 15th and close at the end of the day on August 30th, 2008. No bids will be considered or accepted after the auction has closed.

Broadway Records sends out an e-mail notice when this auction begins and ends. Fill out this form to add your name to the subscription list.

Before we get to the listings for this month, we'd like to go over some simple instructions. This will help you understand our bidding procedures and ensure that you bid on just the discs you want and at the price you're willing to pay.

Minimum Bids
As of August 15th we no longer have minimum bids. To ensure that you're really "in the running," we encourage you to bid the maximum amount you are willing to pay for a particular item in order to be in the running for the particular disc.

For example:
Review the listing and decide that you are willing to pay up to $20.00 for this disc, but no more. Thus, you submit a bid of $20.00. If no one else bids on this disc, you will win the item. If someone else bids $15.00 as a maximum, you will win it for $16.00, since your maximum bid exceeded that of the other person. (Bids are calculated in increments of one dollar.) However, if a third bidder submits a maximum bid of $25.00, they will win the auction at $21.00 since their maximum bid exceeded yours. Please remember there are no minimum bids, but we reserve the right to reject any bid which does not come close to the value of the transcriptions. We do not expect this to happen if our bidders use a little common sense in their bidding practices.

In the case of a tie - for example, two persons submit a maximum bid of $20.00 on the same disc - the bid which was received first will win the disc.

Submitting Your Bids

Bids will be accepted via e-mail only and we encourage you to submit them as soon as possible. Throughout the bidding period, you are welcome to change or cancel any or all of your bids at any time, but bids may not be changed or withdrawn after the auction has closed. Bids received after the deadline will be discarded.

You bear full responsibility for the bids you submit, so double check to be sure that the bids you are making are accurate BEFORE you e-mail them to us. For the sake of accuracy, as well as simplicity, we encourage you to cut and paste the auction listings, along with your maximum bid for each, into the e-mail you send to us.

All of the bids we receive will be acknowledged via return e-mail, usually on the same day that they are received. If you do not receive an acknowledgement of your bids within 48 hours, please resubmit them.

Broadway Records reserves the right to accept or reject any bid at our discretion, as well as to withdraw any item or items from this auction without notice.

After the Auction Closes
Once the auction has closed, we will review the bids received and send e-mail invoices to all successful bidders; California residents will be charged sales tax, as required by law (8.25%). Payment via PayPal is encouraged. We also accept money orders and checks. All payments must be made in US dollars. Payments must be received within ten business days after the invoice is sent.

To maintain your privacy, the Broadway Records will not disclose the names of winning bidders or the final price realized for any individual item or group of items.

Mailing Your Auction Wins
All auction wins will be shipped anywhere within the continental US via USPS Media Mail at the flat rate of $8.00 for the first disc and .50 cents for each additional record after that; this price includes insurance.

International shipping will be quoted to the winner based on the postal company they request. (Usually, USPS First Class is the least expensive overall method.)

Discs will be mailed out shortly after payment is received - usually within 5-7 business days.

Returns and Questions
Due to the rare and often one-of-a-kind nature of the discs being offered, no returns will be accepted. Thus, we welcome and encourage you to ask any questions you may have via e-mail in advance of bidding, mailed to rialtoripples@hotmail.com

Participation in this auction constitutes acceptance of these terms on the part of the bidder.
